THE CALDWELL AGENDA

As our state representative Caldwell has focused on six key issues:

Rural Healthcare

Caldwell has work tirelessly to promote rural healthcare access points. He has been a staunch supporter of our local Pharmacies when the big PBM’s tried to rig the system against them and drive them out of business. He also for four years has worked to build a coalition to build a new hospital in Tillman County by breaking down governmental silos and getting different agency and State, Federal, County, and City governments to work together to find a solution.

Supporting Education

Caldwell was raised by a schoolteacher, and she instilled in him that education is the key if you want a better future in the world. Teacher pay, at a minimum, needs to be brought up to a regional average. Caldwell voted to pass multiple teacher pay raises while in office and also passed the Redbud Equalization for Rural Schools.

Backing Agriculture

Caldwell is a staunch supporter of farm families and their way of life. Due in large part to his raising, he understands the stress and the worry that they go through each and every year, in order to provide America with an affordable bill of groceries. As a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, Caldwell has been committed to preserving and protecting agriculture and the rural way of life in Oklahoma.

Lowering Taxes

Caldwell has voted for tax cuts for Oklahomans. He has also protected the 100% Veterans’ ad valorem tax exemption and helped get it promoted to the state reimbursement list. He will continue to work for all Oklahomans and fight against wasteful spending, higher taxes and abuse in government.

Protecting Traditional Values

Caldwell is pro-life and pro-gun.  He’ll stand up for our values, freedoms and traditional, rural ways of life. He has voted in favor of multiple laws protecting the life un-born children and has continued to stand strong on our 2nd Amendment rights.

Crime

Drug and gang related crime is running rampant in Lawton. We need to be tough on crime and tough on the conditions that contribute to that crime – from failure to fully support our law enforcement officials to lack of treatment and educational support for those suffering from addiction but who truly want to turn their life around.
